Makeup Academy Review.

_________________________________________________________________

Whilst reading through  a lot of blogs I saw that many bloggers who love highstreet makeup have started raving about MUA. It seems that their quality has become extremely good, which makes their cheap pricing seem even better! After browsing on their website at the new products they've created I found myself in Superdrug the very same day dying to try out some products!

The first thing I was intrigued by, thanks to all the bloggers who raved about it, was the 'Undress Me Too' eye palette. This is apparently the perfect dupe on the 'Naked 2' palette. Now as someone who could never ever justify spending roughly £36.00 on an eyeshadow palette, I decided that for only £4.00 this was definately worth a try! I was extremely impressed with the quality of this eyeshadow, it contains the perfect colours to create a smokey eye, and with the 'mini master class' instructions on the back of the palette, you couldn't possibly go wrong! I would recommend this to anyone, as £4.00 for twelve eyeshadows really is the best bargain around!  I definitely rate this product 9/10 and will certainly be buying again soon!

Now the next on my list was the 'Pro-Base Eye Primer'. At only £2.50 I really wasn't expecting much from this, but actually I was left pleasantly suprised. I have used this product with the 'Undress Me Too' eyeshadows and it really did keep it smooth. The eyeshadow didn't crease and I feel it  made it much more smooth to apply.  I would rate this product 7/10 and will definitely purchase it again soon!

Next I bought the 'Cover & Conceal' wand which I purchased in the shade 'Natual'. This concealer is only £1.50 and isn't bag considering its overlly cheap price. The shade is a bit too orange for me, which ofcourse is my fault and not the makeup brand so ofcourse I didn't really get the full benefit from it. It was very good at hiding and spots or blemishes I had lurking around during the week, and once it was blended properly it looked completely unnoticeable! I wouldn't advice this concealer for people with dry skin as I felt it was slightly difficult to blend in properly on dry patches. Overall I would give this product 6/10, but would definitely advise people to buy this as for £1.50 it's always handy to carry around incase of emergencies!

Finally the last MUA product I thought i'd try out was the 'Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter'. Quite frankly I didn't even need to look at the price, the beautiful design of this highlighting powder completely lured me towards it! When I saw that this only cost £3.00 there was no doubt, that this would be the newest item in my everyday makeup routine. With this powder highlighter I've found that less is most certainly more! It definately highlights the cheekbones with the luminescent shimmer and definitely gives your face a healthy glow. For nights out you can even apply more and have the shimmer more noticeable. Dusting a tiny bit under your brow bone certainly helps highlight your eyebrows aswell. This item is most definitely a 9/10 for me, especially for it's beautiful pattern. I would happily recommend this highlighting powder to anyone and it's most definitely a staple item in my makeup bag now.
Overall I have been thoroughly impressed with the MUA quality and I certainly cannot wait to buy more!

bareMinerals Original Foundation
_______________________________________

Now my skin tone and complexion isn't the most desirable so I've found it extremely hard to find foundations that really work. I have a combination of oily and dry skin depending on the weather etc. and my face has always been plagued with freckles. Because of my unfortunate skin I have never found a foundation that matches my skin colour exactly, until now...

I had heard many people raving about this foundation before but I never even considered using it because of my combination skin. I also think everyone has this assumption that powder foundations just never look that good, and also that they are extremely messy! However I was really struggling with finding one, and no liquid foundation was ever close enough to my skin tone so this was really a last attempt at finding the right foundation. bareMinerals foundation is amazing and colour matches my skin perfectly! You can also build it up to have the right amount of coverage for you, whether its light medium or heavy you just need to apply the right amount. If you're after a heavy coverage you need to make sure you buff it into the skin properly. I use the bareMinerals Full Flawless Face brush and it is the perfect brush for building up coverage.

At £25.00 this foundation is clearly abit more pricier than high-street brands, but I would say it's worth every penny. Overall I would recommend this foundation to anyone, especially if like me you have previously         struggled to gain inspiration from other brands and products!
